$15,000 Queensland Government Business Boost Grants Program 2022.

The application process includes 2 stages:

Stage 1: Registration of Interest (ROI) opens 12 August 2022. This stage is very straightforward and requires simply submitting your business information.

Stage 2: Full application. Selected applications from Stage 1 will be invited to submit a full application. Full applications will open for submission 29 August 2022.

QLD Government Business Boost Grants Program

The Business Boost Grant provides up to $15,000 (excl. GST) to help small businesses to improve their efficiency and productivity through bespoke/complex web design (including e-commerce) and specialised and automated software (e.g CRMs)

To be eligible for the Grant, businesses must:

  • Be willing to co-contribute 30% of the total project cost (the minimum required project cost is $10,715 with a co-contribution from you of $3,215). Grant funds will be paid when compliant acquittal documentation is received.
  • Have a turnover of between $300,000 and $600,000 in the last financial year.

*Your project can cost more than $21,429 but the maximum amount DESBT will contribute is $15,000.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for this grant, your business must:

  • Have a turnover of between $300,000 (min) and $600,000 (max) in the last financial year (2021–22)
  • Have fewer than 20 employees at the time of applying for the grant
  • Have an active Australian Business Number (ABN) and registered for GST
  • Have a Queensland headquarters
  • Have a publicly reachable web presence to identify business operations (e.g. business website and/or social media pages)
  • Not have been approved for funding under Round 1 of the Business Boost grant program

Application process

The application process includes 2 stages:

Stage 1: Registration of Interest (ROI)
Stage 2: Full application.

Stage 1 opens for ROI at 9am, 12 August 2022 and closes at 11.59pm, 19 August 2022.

Stage 2 selected applications from Stage 1 will be invited to submit a full application. Full applications will open for submission at 9am, 29 August 2022 and close at 11.59pm, 12 September 2022.

The ‘co-contribution’ requirements explained

Successful applicants must co-contribute at least 30% of the total project costs and the project cannot have a total cost of less than $10,715 (excluding GST).

Here are 2 examples of total project costs and the co-contribution amounts:

  • For a total project cost of $10,715 (ex. GST), your contribution would be $3,215. This means the grant would cover $7,500 of your project.
  • For a total project cost of $21,429 (ex. GST), your contribution would be $6,429. This means the grant would cover $15,000 of your project.


NB: Your project can cost more than $21,429 but the maximum amount the government will contribute is $15,000.
